MEDICAL ETHICS
OUR BODY IS THE BEST DOCTOR
We are all children born to our mothers.
All the people in the world are born to their
mothers. How does a mother beget a child?
The mother eats the food through her
mouth. The food goes into her body and gets
transformed into a full child with all body
parts such as eyes, ears, nose, mouth, etc.
Did the mother’s intelligence convert the
food into a child? Or was it the intelligence of
the mother’s body? The answer naturally
would be, “It is not the intelligence of the
mother but the intelligence of the mother’s
body.”
First of all, we need to see our
intelligence as consisting of two parts. Our
experiential intelligence is different from
the innate intelligence of our body.
The intelligence that we get by reading various
books and through our experience is our
experiential intelligence. The intelligence
that is present in our body ever since we are
born is the inbuilt intelligence of our body.
Can any mother claim that it was her
intelligence that transformed the food into
the child? No. The food gets converted into
the child only by her body’s intelligence. If a
mother says that she produced the child
through her intelligence, ask her one
question: “Can you draw all the parts of the
body and name them?” She will not be able
to do it, unless, of course, she is a Science
teacher. How can a mother, who does not
even know all the body parts, produce a
child by transforming the food into the child
using her own intelligence?
What we understand from this is that
the mother’s duty ends when she eats her
food. It is the job of the mother’s body to
convert the food into the child. The child
born to a highly educated mother who has
obtained a medical degree and also received
four PhDs is similar to the child born to an
illiterate mother.
What is clear from this
is that the intelligence
obtained by us through
t h e b o o k s , I n t e r n e t ,
e x p e r i e n c e , e t c . i s
different from the natural
intelligence of our body.
Our body has the same
wisdom from our birth to
death. It is our brain which
acts intelligently sometimes and acts
foolishly at some other times.
Just imagine what a wizard a body is
that is capable of transforming the food
eaten by the mother into a child with all
parts such as eye, ear, nose, mouth, etc.!
Has anyone in the world ever invented a
machine which can take food from one side
and give out a baby from the other side?
What a big prize such an inventor will get!
Have you ever seen such a machine? You will
say, no. But I have seen such a machine! All
the mothers who have given birth to a child
are such machines.
Therefore, all mothers
who have borne a child can congratulate
themselves for possessing such a wonderful
power in their body.
Just think for a moment. What an extraordinary
intelligence, knowledge and
wisdom this body possesses as it can
convert the food into a complete child with
eyes, ears, nose, kidneys and all other parts!
Our body’s intelligence is much more
than that of all the greatest scientists,
doctors and wise people put together. Will
such a body be unable to cure diseases such
as Diabetes, blood pressure, Asthma,
Thyroid, Arthritis, Cancer and AIDS? We do
not agree. Our body’s intelligence is capable
of curing all the diseases in the world.
If a person gets a disease, the reason is
simple. There is some problem with the
body’s intelligence. By setting this problem
right, we can cure by ourselves all the
diseases in the world without the help of any
medicine, tablet or doctor. The blood of a
mother is what gets transformed into the
body parts of the child. The body’s
intelligence that knows how to convert the
food into a child also knows how to cure the
diseases.

SPIRITUAL ETHICS
The test of Swami Vivekanandar
SWAMI
VIVEKANAND'S inspiring personality has been well known in India and
abroad from decades to come. This unknown monk of India suddenly rose to
fame at the Parliament of Religions held in Chicago (America) in 1893,
representing Hinduism. His vast knowledge of Eastern and Western culture
as well as his deep spiritual insight, brilliant conversation skills,
empathy and colorful personality made a mark on the hearts of many.
People who ever happen to see or hear Swami Vivekanand even once still
cherish his memory after a lapse of more than half a century.
Before leaving for abroad for the first time to preach Hinduism, Vivekanand's mother wanted to know whether he is all perfect for this mission or not, she invited him for dinner. Vivekanand enjoyed the food that had the additional flavor of his mother's special love and affection. After the delicious dinner, Vivekanand's mother offered Vivekanand a dish of fruits and a knife. Vivekanand cut the fruit, ate it and after that his mother said, "Son, can you please give me the knife, I need it." Vivekanand immediately responded by giving the knife.
Vivekanand's mother calmly said, "Son, you have passed my test and I heartily bless you for going abroad." Vivekanand surprisingly asked, "Mother, how did you test me? I did not understand."
Mother replied, "Son, when I asked for the knife, I saw how you handed it to me, you gave the knife by holding its sharp edge and kept the wooden handle of knife towards me. This way, I would not get hurt when I take it and this means you took care of me. And this was your test in which you passed.
The person who thinks of others welfare rather than thinking about self has got the right of preaching the world and you have got that right. You have all my blessings."
This was the most important mark he left in the hearts of many he met in his lifetime - to think of others before thinking for self.
Moral: There are some qualities which draw the difference between a common man & an uncommon man. To think about the welfare of everyone falls under an extraordinary quality. The true noble person is the one who thinks of others' happiness even if it is in little matters to our day to day life. The one who thinks of himself alone is considered selfish & will not be valued by the world in the long run. It is the law of nature that as the bigger hearted & noble you are, the more you will keep receiving & as the narrower minded you become, the less you will receive.

AYUVEDIC MEDICAL ETHICS:Home Remedies for losing Weight
REDUCE WEIGHT BY NATURAL WAYS:
Obesity or overweight is a condition
characterized by excessive deposition or storage of fat in adipose tissues.
Over the years it has been a common problem all over the world.
Ayurveda describes eight types of bodies, which are considered bad. Out of the eight, the two that are widely explained are: very thin body and very fat body. It has been proved that out these two those who are very fat have most diseases and troubles. This is because the extra fat puts a strain on the heart, kidneys, liver and the joints such as the hips, knees and ankles. Over weight persons are susceptible to several diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, gout, liver and gall bladder disorders. The chief cause of obesity or over-weight is often overeating, irregular eating habits and not following the rules of eating including improper mixing of food items in one meal. |

SPIRITUAL ETHICS: SWAMI VIVEKANADER
One day a father and his rich family took his young son on a trip to
the country with the firm purpose to show him how poor people can be. They spent
a day and a night in the farm of a very poor family.
When they got back from
their trip the father asked his son, “How was the trip?” Very good, Dad!” “Did
you see how poor people can be?” the father asked. “Yeah!” “And what did you
learn?” The son answered, “I saw that we have a dog at home, and they have four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden, they have a creek that
has no end. We have imported lamps in the garden, they have the stars. Our patio
reaches the front yard, they have a whole horizon.” When the little boy was
finishing, his father was speechless. His son added, “Thanks, Dad, for showing
me how poor we are!” Isn’t it true that it all depends on the way you look at
things? If you have love, friends, family, health, good humor and a positive
attitude toward life, you’ve got everything! You can’t buy any of these things.
You can have all the material possessions you can imagine, provisions for the
future, etc., but if you are poor of spirit, you have nothing!

AMAZING SCIENTIFIC REASONS BEHIND HINDU TRADITIONAL ETHICS 2
Why do we worship Tulsi Plant:
Hindu religion has bestowed ‘Tulsi’, with the status of mother. Also known
as ‘Sacred or Holy Basil’, Tulsi, has been recognized as a religious and
spiritual devout in many parts of the world.
The vedic sages knew the benefits of Tulsi and that is why they
personified it as a Goddess and gave a clear message to the entire community
that it needs to be taken care of by the people, literate or illiterate. We try
to protect it because it is like Sanjeevani for the mankind.
Tulsi has great medicinal properties. It is a remarkable antibiotic.
Taking Tulsi everyday in tea or otherwise increases immunity and help the
drinker prevent diseases, stabilize his or her health condition, balance his or
her body system and most important of all, prolong his or her life.
Keeping Tulsi plant at home prevents insects and mosquitoes from
entering the house. It is said that snakes do not dare to go near a Tulsi
plant. Maybe that is why ancient people would grow lots of Tulsi near their
houses.
Start
with Spice & End with Sweet:
Our ancestors have stressed on the fact that our meals should be started
off with something spicy and sweet dishes should be taken towards the end. The
significance of this eating practice is that while spicy things activate the
digestive juices and acids and ensure that the digestion process goes on
smoothly and efficiently, sweets or carbohydrates pulls down the digestive
process. Hence, sweets were always recommended to be taken as a last item.
This tradition is not just about sitting on floor and eating, it is regarding sitting in the “Sukhasan” position and then eating. Sukhasan is the position we normally use for Yoga asanas. Sitting in this position while eating helps in improving digestion as the circulatory system can focus solely upon digestion and not on our legs dangling from a chair or supporting us while we are standing.
Normally the wrist portion is in constant activation on any human. Also the pulse beat in this portion is mostly checked for all sorts of ailments. The Bangles used by women are normally in the wrist part of ones hand and its constant friction increases the blood circulation level. Further more the electricity passing out through outer skin is again reverted to one’s own body because of the ring shaped bangles, which has no ends to pass the energy outside but to send it back to the body.
Application of Sindoor or Vermillion:
It is interesting to note that that the application of sindoor by married women carries a physiological significance. This is so because Sindoor is prepared by mixing turmeric-lime and the metal mercury. Due to its intrinsic properties, mercury, besides controlling blood pressure also activates sexual drive. This also explains why Sindoor is prohibited for the widows. For best results, Sindoor should be applied right upto the pituitary gland where all our feelings are centered. Mercury is also known for removing stress and strain.
